The Florence Cathedral, also known as the Duomo, is a cathedral designed by Fillippo Brunelleschi, Arnolfo di Cambio, Giotto, and Francesco Talenti. The construction was started on September 8, 1296 and was finished on March 25, 1436. It is the main church of Florence, Italy.
Its true name is Santa Maria del Fiore, of Our Lady of the Flower. It is the third largest Christian church in the world.
